Malgré le soin pris lors de la plantation, une des branches commence à noircir et aucune pousse verte n'est apparue.

Il faut un peu de temps aux rosiers pour démarrer à la plantation :) N'hésitez pas à recouper sous la tige qui noirci, les rosiers supportent très bien les tailles sévères, qu'il faut d'ailleurs pratiquer au printemps, c'est le moment :) Surtout, prenez soin de bien installer le point de greffe comme "posé" sur le sol, retailler les branches, et arroser régulièrement, et sa reprise est garantie ! Solo una rosa originale e di talento poteva essere dedicata a Jean Cocteau ! La rosa JEAN COCTEAU ® Meikokan infatti combina una generosa e rinnovata fioritura da maggio-giugno fino alle prime gelate. Ha una vegetazione regolare e un'incredibile  robustezza. Sia in giardino che in vaso, questa rosa facile da coltivare vi incanterà con le  sue  molteplici qualità. 

Dalla fine della primavera fino all'arrivo dell'inverno, la rosa JEAN COCTEAU® Meikokan fiorisce e rifiorisce a profusione e a ritmo continuo. Le rose, raggruppate in mazzetti di 2-7 fiori, fioriscono con  i loro 25-27 petali angolari in corolle  dal  rilievo unico e particolare. Questa originale forma di rosa è ulteriormente accentuata dall'insolita colorazione nota come "bicolore inverso":  la parte inferiore del petalo, arancione ocra intenso con una sfumatura rosa, è più chiara della parte superiore. Una volta aperte completamente, le rose lasciano intravedere i loro stami, che le api e gli altri insetti impollinatori si divertono a visitare.

La rosa JEAN COCTEAU ® Meikokan si dimostra una forza della natura! Con la sua vegetazione vigorosa ed equilibrata, forma un elegante cespuglio che cresce fino ad un'altezza di circa 80-90 cm. Il suo bel fogliame verde chiaro e lucido ha un'eccellente resistenza alle malattie. Una manna per un giardino senza manutenzione! Presentata ai concorsi internazionali di rose, la rosa JEAN COCTEAU ® Meikokan non ha lasciato indifferente nessuno e ha raccolto molti premi e medaglie.

Grazie alle sue molteplici qualità, si adatta facilmente a qualsiasi uso nel giardino. Esemplare singolo, gruppi di 3 piante, aiuole, siepi basse, grandi vasi sulla terrazza o sul balcone, da sola o in associazione, eccelle ovunque! La tonalità sottile e luminosa di queste rose è particolarmente esaltata dalle tonalità blu lavanda di fiori come nepeta, scabiosa, lavanda, agapanti. Ma le calde armonie a base di arancia, albicocca e giallo non sono vietate. Hemerocallis Stella de Oro,  alstroemerie salmone o gialla, rudbeckia Cheyenne Spirit sono tutti fiori che si sposano bene con questo tipo di rosa.

Jean Cocteau (5 luglio 1889 - 11 ottobre 1963) è un artista prolifico che ha lasciato il segno nel tempo con i suoi molteplici talenti: poeta, grafico, disegnatore, drammaturgo, regista, pittore, scultore, ceramista, il suo lavoro è segnato dal suo universo onirico e poetico. La rosa a lui dedicata gli rende quindi un perfetto omaggio. All'estero, a volte troviamo rose con il nome di CHARLESTON ® 2007 o TEQUILA ® SUPREME TM.
