Le produit est peu fourni et est très haut (filé?), et est arrivé un peu desséché et surtout cassant/cassé de partout... Le pot est très petit donc je l'ai rempoté dans plus grand, heureusement une autre pousse à l'air de sortir et d'être plus vigoureuse, mais le plant principal ne survivra probablement pas... déçue du coup.

Bon produit il faudra attendre l'année prochaine pour savoir. Emballage pas assez soigné, carton abîmé reçu par la poste ne gênant en rien les produits quelques branches de cassé mais je pense que ça devrais pouvoir pousser quand même!!!

J'attends pour voir. Mon terrain est parfois légèrement acide et parfois calcaire, essentiellement du sable et des galets,aussi je fais des essais.

General informations

Raccolti abbondanti e scaglionati. Il mirtillo o Vaccinium corymbosum 'Blue Crop' è certamente la varietà di mirtillo a frutto grande più piantata al mondo! Molto produttivo, offre numerosi frutti dolci e fragranti da luglio a settembre. Facile da coltivare terra acida o neutra, in piena terra o in un grande vaso.

Autofertile, 'Blue Crop' ha una delle più alte rese tra le varietà di mirtillo a grandi frutti. I suoi grandi frutti blu scuro hanno una polpa bianca soda e fragrante, dolce e leggermente aspra. Fiorisce in grappoli di fiori a campanella bianco-rosati lungo gli steli dell'anno precedente, decorando i giardini nel mese di maggio. I suoi fiori melliferi attirano api e impollinatori che ne assicurano la fecondazione. I mirtilli maturano gradualmente e possono essere raccolti da luglio a settembre. Delizioso crudo, il suo frutto ipocalorico e ricco di vitamine è ancora più gustoso se trasformato in sorbetti, sciroppi, pasticcini, ecc.

Il Blue Crop è un arbusto molto vigoroso che forma un cespuglio che raggiunge un'altezza di 100 a 150 cm e una larghezza da 80 a 100 cm. Le foglie ovali sono di un bel verde inglese e spesso diventano rosse in autunno.

Come coltivare il mirtillo Blue Crop

Il mirtillo Blue Crop cresce in un terreno leggero, ricco di humus, da acido a neutro e in grado di trattenere l'umidità in estate. È facile da coltivare in ombra parziale o al sole. È bene quindi prevedere di migliorare il terreno con della terra per piante acidofile, torba e compost di foglie.

Può essere piantato anche in un grande vaso, su terrazze o balconi, ma anche se il vostro terreno è molto calcareo. Riempire un vaso alto e largo 45/50 cm con una miscela di 1/3 di terra per acidofile, 1/3 di terriccio e 1/3 di terra da giardino.

Resistente ai parassiti ed alle malattie, è molto rustico e può sopportare gelate  fino a -15°C. È facile da manutenere e richiede solo un'applicazione primaverile di concime organico come il Lombricompost. Solo se necessario si può provvedere a tagliare il legno morto e potare leggermente per armonizzare la silhouette del cespuglio.

Dove piantare il mirtillo 'Blue Crop'

Blue Crop è adatto ad essere piantato come arbusto singolo, in gruppi, in bordure di piccoli cespugli di frutta e in siepi miste. S sposa naturalmente con altre varietà di mirtillu, beneficiando della produzione scaglionata e dell'impollinazione incrociata, che ne aumenta la resa.

Blue Crop' può anche essere usato in un giardino ornamentale con arbusti o piante perenni che amano la stessa situazione, come camelie, ortensie, ecc.
